These terms cover the Pivot Assist caller notifications program: text messages that Pivot Assist LLC ("Pivot Assist") sends to people who phone a business that uses Pivot Assist's AI receptionist. They apply to you if you called one of those businesses. The businesses themselves are covered by our Terms of Service.
There is only one kind of text: a confirmation of an appointment you booked on the call, and only if you asked for it. No marketing, ever.
1. How you agree to a text
When you book an appointment on the call, the receptionist asks you this, word for word, with the name of the business you called:
“Want me to text you a confirmation? It'll come from Pivot Assist, the booking service for [business name]. Message and data rates may apply.”
Only a spoken yes counts. If you say no, say nothing, or talk about something else, no text is sent, and your appointment is booked exactly the same. The call may be recorded (the receptionist says so at the start of every call), and your yes is kept with that call's ID, the time, and the lines of the transcript where you were asked and answered.
An example of the exchange:
- Receptionist: You're all set for Tuesday, September 29 at 9 AM. Want me to text you a confirmation? It'll come from Pivot Assist, the booking service for Joe's HVAC. Message and data rates may apply.
- Caller: Yes, please.
2. The message
One appointment confirmation, sent right after the call to the number you called from, only if you said yes. Examples:
Pivot Assist: You're booked with Joe's HVAC for Tue Sep 29 at 9:00 AM. Questions? Call (562) 555-0100. Reply STOP to opt out.
Pivot Assist: You're booked with Paws & Claws Vet Clinic for Wed Sep 30 at 10:30 AM. Questions? Call (714) 555-0142. Reply STOP to opt out.
Every text starts with "Pivot Assist:", names the business you called, and comes from the Pivot Assist phone number that answered your call for that business. Pivot Assist writes every message; businesses can't write, edit, or send their own text through this program.
3. How often
- One confirmation per appointment you book and agree to.
- Nothing else: no reminders, promotions, or follow-ups.
- Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
4. Consent is never a condition
You don't have to agree to texts to book an appointment, to be helped, or to use any service of the business you called. Saying no changes nothing about your call.
5. STOP and HELP
- Reply STOP at any time to stop texts from that number (also STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, REVOKE, OPTOUT, QUIT). You'll get one confirmation and nothing more:
Pivot Assist: You're unsubscribed and won't get more texts from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.
- Reply START or UNSTOP to start again.
- Reply HELP or INFO for help:
Pivot Assist caller notifications: appointment confirmations you asked for. Help: support@getpivotassist.com. Msg & data rates may apply. STOP to opt out.
- Or email support@getpivotassist.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Your number and your privacy
We text your number only to send the confirmation described here, and we keep the record of your consent with the call. How the business you called and Pivot Assist otherwise handle call information is in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Our SMS delivery provider processes your number only to deliver our messages. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
