About Pivot Assist

We built the receptionist we wished our parents' businesses had.

Pivot Assist is an always-on AI voice agent for appointment-driven businesses — HVAC and home services, salons, law firms, real estate, vet clinics. Every call answered. Every appointment booked. No more missed leads.

Our mission

A small business should never lose a customer to a busy signal.

Most of the businesses we love — the family HVAC shop, the neighborhood salon, the two-attorney law firm — answer the phone the same way they did twenty years ago. Voicemail at lunch. Voicemail at 5 pm. Voicemail when the front desk is helping the customer in front of them.

Meanwhile their competitors are booked online, on Instagram, or by an AI chatbot on a glossy chain's website. The phone — still the way most appointments get made — keeps losing customers in silence.

We started Pivot Assist to fix that. We give independent businesses a receptionist that never sleeps, never gets overwhelmed, and never lets a caller hang up without an answer.

What we believe

Five principles we actually run by.

01

The caller comes first

Every product decision answers one question: did this make the caller's experience better? Speed, clarity, kindness, accuracy — in that order.

02

Boring is a feature

Receptionists shouldn't be flashy. Our agent answers, listens, books, transfers, hangs up. We optimize for the conversation no one notices.

03

Built for independents

Pricing, onboarding, and support are tuned for businesses with one to fifty employees. We don't make you talk to sales to get started.

04

Honest about AI

When a caller asks, the agent says it's an AI assistant. When the agent doesn't know, it transfers — it doesn't fake it.

A note from the founder

"I grew up watching my family run a small business. The phone rang and rang and rang — and a missed call meant a missed customer. With voice AI finally good enough to feel human, this was the company I had to build."
